I was in what you call a "high demand" religion for a long time.
And when I escaped, I never wanted to be unfree again. I never wanted anyone to tell me what to do.
I never wanted to be limited in any way.
At the same time, I miss the deep community that I enjoyed at times in the church.
I tried to build that new community with a group of free spirits, otherwise known as the New Age world.
And what I experienced among the Freedom Community and New Age world was: There are just as many liars and thieves and bad people there as there are anywhere else.
The issue, however, is that there are no mechanisms of accountability in any of these systems so that bad people get away with a lot of bad things for a very long time.
Everyone deciding to be free means that no one has any rules or standards of behavior. But if you don't have any rules or standards of behavior, if you don't have any agreements or accountability, then there's no safety for anyone who's involved.
Then, the only safety you have is provided by the state.
And, spoiler alert: If you don't know yet that the legal system doesn't really help to establish justice: It doesn't.
I know of many men who are talking about all the horrible things happening now.
But I have been unable to collaborate with any of them effectively.
I know of many women who want a better world.
But it's clear that they don't know who to trust.
The secret they don't want is to know: All we have to do to create a new world and be free is to create a new world and be free.
I've been down many of the paths of freedom.
And it's fine to achieve my own personal spiritual breakthroughs.
But we are community creatures, and we cannot meet all our needs alone.
So we need to learn how to work together with others and to be able to trust them.
My goal is to create alternate systems for all of the broken systems of humanity.
We can do everything much better: medicine/healing, education, money, food, etc.
But to do that, I need people who are at least interested in changing one of those things.
And then to be able to work together effectively with them, I have to know I can trust them.
The same thing applies to you.
So I've been working to try to figure out what a baseline level of behavior is that we can agree to so that we know we can trust each other and work together.
And what I've come up with, I'm calling the Compact of Peace. For me, it represents the absolute baseline level of morality that someone has to fulfill in order to function in our society.
It's clear that the top of our society wouldn't remotely fulfill this. Not only do they fail to protect children when they're given the opportunity, they actively attack and violate them.
And if we don't change that, that's what's going to keep happening.
New System
So I have created two new systems to be able to build structures of support.
The first is this compact, which if you choose to sign, I know that you have at least agreed to these principles and you want to work on making the world a better place. And I can hold you to account. And you can hold me to account as well.
The second is an identification and reputation management system to replace what the state currently has, so that we can know who we trust more widely.
These systems are available in Las Vegas, and the greater Utah region.
If you want to make the world better, and do not yet have a commitment or a group with which to do so, check them out. Or give me better ideas!
